Dedicated to Mountain Biking and trail construction, with over 15 years of riding and building experience.
Inspired by the land, the people, and the trails of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, we believe that trails tell a story, connect us with nature, and promote a healthy lifestyle. Trails build strong communities and lasting memories.

Far North Trail Company is owned and operated by Zech McCarthy, native of Marquette, Michigan. Zech's passion for bikes and trails started at a young age when he began racing at the local BMX track. With this came the pursuit of digging his own trails in the back yard of his childhood home. Eventually transitioning into mountain biking, a whole new world of trails and riding was discovered. The terrain, variety and abundance of trails in Marquette and the Upper Peninsula has fueled Zech's passion for mountain biking and trail building. He continues to hone his riding and understanding of trails and the places, experiences and relationships they hold.

His pursuit of trail construction and riding lead him to an employment opportunity with a professional trail building company, where he continued to develop his construction techniques and equipment operation. Zech began Far North Trail Company in August, 2021 with a vision of continued progression in mountain biking and trail construction.
